The dirty, smelly rubbish bin of a shelter acts as temporary accommodation for those travelling north, arriving at 02:15 and unable to catch the ferry home until the next morning. The overnight possibilities are limited at best, as even those who have pre booked at the hotel, find the doors locked and the phone off the hook.
