Every second Thursday is bin day in Øksfjord. There is one rubbish bin for each household and several colour coded plastic bags for each waste category. Red is for paper, a slightly larger red bag is for hard cardboard. Orange is for light cardboard and milk cartons, green is for organic and blue is plastic. Glass must be discarded in the dark green bin between 12 and 2.
