Day:122, Words:122

A Happy Labour day to those celebrating today as they are in Øksfjord. It is a celebration of the worker's economic and social achievements, specifically the eight hour working day. In the U.S and Canada, it is celebrated in September and in Australia, different states host the public holiday in May, September and October. Like the rest of the country, the working conditions in Øksfjord couldn't be better. Minimal weekend work, good pay, short hours and the right to down 17 cups of coffee a day.

Despite the heroic efforts of volunteers to green up the football pitch, the opening game has been moved to the indoor stadium in Alta. Training, however will continue on the small patch of snow free field.
