The award winning Øksfjord library is open from 5 to 8 on Monday evenings and is a fine place to obtain all of your films, books, music and magazines. The building has a solarium in the basement, which for a wintery village, provides some much needed colour for the sun deprived bodies. There is also a curious sign on the front door..'No dogs allowed in the solarium'. Such notices shouldn't really be necessary and one has to wonder about the kind of incident that inspired this odd piece of signage.
