On inspection of the formerly frozen lake today, I am dubious of the responsible safety measures taken by those continuing to ski across the fragile blue surface. Decades of arctic experience and local knowledge cannont be underestimated, yet even the most accomplished have been known to crash through to an instant chilly bath. I wonder if their mothers ever told them "You are skating on thin ice young man!"

Wednesday afternoon and full steam ahead for the 'Tåkehavet' gang. The entire cast has been brought together for the first time to rehearse their songs, recite their lines and learn their dance steps. These performers range in age from 6 to 17 and there is plenty of small town talent waiting to be discovered.
