Despite the best efforts of many volunteers, the football pitch remained scattered with patches of snow and the game due to be played yesterday was postponed. A typical May snowfall on a saturday morning put an end to any hope of a full field of green. Let's hope that we have seen the last of the falling white stuff and that the merury begins to rise. As I have mentioned previously, Øksfjordians love their English football and today marked the last day of the season. The exciting finish, provided some heart stopping entertainment for a large group of Manchester United supporters and one proud Manchester City fanatic. As it turned out the season result was decided by the last kick of the season. The proud Øksfjordian toasted himself champagne and hoisted the sky blue flag.
